Success at the INTERGASTRA – Mobile-Check-In with SAFE- O-TRONIC access is the Solution in Demand

SAG’s balance after five days of trade show at the leading gastronomy fair INTERGASTRA in Stuttgart is thoroughly positive: Under the motto ‘The right solution for every guest’, SAG showcased the industry trends in the digitalisation of booking and access in its portfolio of solutions for mobile check-in. This was how the company managed to increase the number of trade fair contacts by 30% compared to the appearance at the last INTERGASTRA.

SAFE-O-TRONIC® access with Bluetooth function lets the guest access his room by means of smartphone.

With the electronic locking system SAFE-O-TRONIC® access, mobile check-in is possible for the first time not only using the temporary guest codes for which a patent application has been filed – the hotel entrance or guest room door can now also be opened with a smartphone by means of a new BLE-enabled (Bluetooth Low Energy) Bluetooth feature. To make use of this feature, merely an app has to be activated and the mobile phone has to be held on the door fittings. The guest can use the traditional RFID card for access in addition. By means of this multi-optional access solution, the hotel operator can address the needs of each and every guest in a flexible and targeted manner.

The mobile check-in solution was at centre stage at the SAG trade fair stand.

Dirk Heumann (Sales Director Germany) expressed great satisfaction with the response of stand visitors to the new SAG solution relating to the mobile check-in.

We offer our customers high security of investment and reliability of interfaces in a so far unprecedented great variety of mobile access options via smartphone – optionally using the temporary guest code or Bluetooth feature – which can be combined at any time with the traditional RFID card.’
