"Smart Building – Added value through networked data for the spa of the future": this was the subject of this year's eccos pro user meeting, which ended today in the OsnabrückHalle. The two-day event has for many years been a popular meeting place for professionals in the spa sector, as evidenced by the high number of participants this year.
The digital path
The event took place in the Osnabrück City Hall, which was the ideal place for a number of exciting presentations and workshops dealing with the mafis® guest management system. The buzzword "digitalisation" was at the centre of the presentations and discussions of around 200 delegates from all over Germany and further afield. What are the implications of the smart world for the spa sector and its protagonists?

How does one take advantage of intelligent evaluation of data? How exactly do these technologies and software applications ensure savings of resources in building and personnel management? By means of new tools, which eccos pro introduced here in some cases, value-add for operators and users is created. Answers were provided by specialists from eccos pro as well as invited experts such as Lorenz Donau from Donau Engineering, who presented his software for mobile data capture via smartphone, and the professionals from Michel Consulting. Delegates at the accompanying trade fair had the opportunity to network and hold interesting discussions.

Managing director Stefan Karl presented the eccos pro roadmap, which provided an overview on current and future developments. On day 2, users had an opportunity once again to discuss their specific interests in workshops with the experts.

Fast-paced evening programme
To end the first day's events, a dinner was arranged, followed by a visit to the racetrack. Delegates had an opportunity to divide up into teams and battle it out for the fastest lap time on the Osnabrück "Nettedrom" e-cart track.
In parallel to the evening event, interested participants were able to enjoy an enthralling racing spectacle on the "Nettedrom" e-cart track.
