INTERGASTRA 2018: SAG Now to Present the Bluetooth Variant of the Mobile Check-In

At the upcoming INTERGASTRA trade fair in Stuttgart from 03.-07.02.2018 , Schulte-Schlagbaum AG will present its current portfolio for mobile access solutions for hotel and apartment complexes. Besides the proven variant of the electronic locking system SAFE-O-TRONIC® access with temporary guest code for the mobile check-in, SAG now additionally introduces a Bluetooth variant and thereby offers a uniquely diverse range of solutions for the mobile check-in – with the right solution for every guest!

The smartphone as door opener

Today, the quick and easy check-in from home or the road forms part of the contemporary amenities of modern hotels for business and leisure guests. Future-oriented hotels are therefore digitalising the processes relating to reservations or reception and even including the smartphone as door opener. This gives more time for the service personnel to care for the guests. With the solutions of the SAFE-O-TRONIC® access locking system, a check-in completely without involving personnel is possible by means of smartphone.

The smartphone as door opener: SAFE-O-TRONIC® access DS with Bluetooth function, temporary guest code and RFID for mobile access in the hotel.

The mobile check-in of SAFE-O-TRONIC® access is multi-optional and therefore gives the hotel operator the freedom to organise the check-in anytime in the way that is most efficient for his hotel and most convenient for his guest. Whether regular guest, long-term guest, VIP or a guest with late check-in – the multi-optional mobile check-in has the optimal solution at hand for all types of guests.

Mobile check-in with temporary guest code

Besides the traditional RFID card, SAFE-O-TRONIC® access offers opening guest rooms via a PIN code that represents an innovative alternative to the temporary guest code (TGC) for which a patent application has been filed. TGC stands for a temporarily valid locking authorisation, which permits the hotel guest to access to the hotel and guest room completely independently from a reception desk. The PIN code can be sent to the arriving guest on his mobile phone ahead of time and be used by him as the “key” for the mobile check-in. The period of use and validity can be configured quickly and easily by the hotel operator in the included SAFE-O-TRONIC® access LockManager software program.

Mobile check-in via smartphone app

These solutions are rounded out by the wireless Bluetooth variant that permits access to the guest room via a smartphone app. Such an app not only simplifies the access management, it can furthermore also bundle a number of useful features such as a digital guest map or the direct feedback channel, and it can thereby decisively improve the hotel’s guest management.

The SAFE-O-TRONIC® access Bluetooth variant can be integrated in the current PMS or front office systems as both a system app as well as a hotel app. To open the guest room door with the smartphone, the guest simply starts the relevant app. This is how the guest’s smartphone becomes a mobile key that offers many more possibilities for customer loyalty and communication with the guest in combination with the related app. Access via RFID card can be integrated at any time in the process, e.g. if a smartphone is used for the check-in and room occupancy use without involving personnel at arrival but the RFID card is to be used for access during the guest’s stay.
